What is an AA Degree?

The Associate in Arts Degree is designed to transfer to a Baccalaureate program. The AA degree consists of 60 credit hours that must be completed with a GPA of 2.0 or higher.

Transfer Opportunities

All students are encouraged to complete a program of study at KCTCS and to consider transferring to a bachelor degree program to further their academic and career goals. The AA degrees include a substantial amount of general education courses and are designed to accommodate transfer. KCTCS has developed a number of transfer agreements to assist students completing AA, AS, and AAS programs to transfer to bachelor degree programs. A list of these transfer agreements can be found at the KCTCS web site at: kctcs.edu Search words: Transfer Agreements.

If you are interested in transferring, or you just have questions about transferring, you are encouraged to contact Denna White at (270) 901-1094. Each college or university in Kentucky also has staff to provide information to KCTCS students about transferring to that specific institution.
